Stratford Academy is a 61-year-old private K-12 school in Macon, Georgia. Their athletics department is comprised of football, lacrosse, boys’ and girls’ soccer, basketball, baseball and track and field. As part of a larger renovation project, they first updated their soccer practice fields in part with Advanced Sports Group and Shaw Sports Turf.

The field was built on a challenging piece of land with a lot of drainage issues but the choice to renovate with synthetic turf allowed for the drainage to be fixed when the new base was installed. Now the field remains dry and allows for not only games and practices but PE classes and community events to be held on the surface.

Thanks to generous donors of the school and the community, we were able to execute the entire field in a manner of weeks, allowing for a spring sports season to start without a delay in schedule.
